Mr. Howard Weinstein has been a prominent leader in the Arizona residential land brokerage and homebuilding industry for the last 30 years. In his extensive experience as a homebuilding senior executive, Mr. Weinstein acquired, entitled, and developed thousands of acres and lots, while spearheading the construction of over $1 billion of single-family residential communities. During Mr. Weinstein’s more recent tenure as one of Arizona most recognized land brokers, he has collectively conducted brokerage transactions of more than $2 billion.
The Land Agency, which Mr. Weinstein founded, is a leading land brokerage agency serving the acquisition and disposition needs of the top homebuilders, developers, investors, landowners, farmers, and lending institutions operating in the Phoenix MSA. As part of his responsibilities with The Land Agency, Mr. Weinstein has represented the nation’s top 20 publicly traded homebuilders including, but not limited to, Meritage Homes, DR Horton, Richmond American, KB Home, Lennar, Pulte, Beazer Homes and K Hovnanian Homes.
Principal and Designated Broker
Brad joined The Land Agency in February 2010, previously working with the Land Advisors Organization. Brad comes from a third generation agricultural family. He was raised in Buckeye, AZ. Brad specializes in assisting clients who are looking for agricultural ground, or clients who are looking to relocate, liquidate, or cease their farming operations.Because of Brad’s background in agriculture, he brings a unique perspective to The Land Agency, as Arizona’s production agriculture continues to change due to development pressure and competition for Arizona’s natural resources.
Brad earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Dordt College in Sioux Center, IA, and received his Masters in Real Estate Development (MRED) from Arizona State University in 2009. Brad is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), United Dairymen of Arizona member, and is a Young Farmer and Rancher member with the Arizona Farm Bureau Federation.
Patricia (Patty) Lafferty is a Principal with The Land Agency. As an industry leading land broker, Patty focuses her real estate expertise on residential land and lot transactions throughout the Phoenix MSA. Patty represents many of the largest U.S. public and private homebuilders and developers with respect to their land acquisition and disposition strategies.
Patty’s market knowledge depth and industry leading experience has propelled her to being one of the most active and recognized land brokers in Arizona. In addition to her homebuilder and developer expertise, Patty represents a wide range of landowners from institutional ownership groups to multi-generational families and farmers, guiding them through their long and short-term disposition land strategies.
In addition to her land brokerage expertise, Patty’s exceptional leadership and strong management skill sets at The Land Agency have resulted in the recruitment, training and development of many young collegiate interns.
Max is a recent graduate of the University of Arizona, where he earned his degrees in Business Management and Entrepreneurship. He represented his alma mater by playing for the golf team and maintaining membership in the fraternity Beta Theta Pi.
After his time at the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship, Max hopes to one day start his own business in the real estate and development industry. Max is excited to join The Land Agency team and is eager to bring strong communication and organizational skills to the company. Through the training, guidance, and expertise of his seasoned colleagues in the field, Max constantly refines his knowledge of market activity in the state of Arizona.
Kristin Shannon is an executive assistant for The Land Agency. Prior to joining the team, she worked in Japan as an Assistant Language Teacher. She strives to improve daily operations at The Land Agency by applying her linguistic skills and tenacity.
Kristin was a first-generation student and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and an emphasis in Archaeology from Northern Arizona University. She believes experiencing different lifestyles is key to understanding one another – in addition to her former position, Kristin studied abroad in Europe and Central America no less than three times. Thanks in equal parts to her anthropological training and her multicultural heritage, she places great importance on human relationships within the workplace. It is her hope that this is reflected in her duties at The Land Agency.
